+1 for dropping them in future versions. As John so eloquently pointed out recently, MPL is faced with a great challenge in supporting so many python versions, backends, etc. This in one place we can simplify. In theory, MPL can use numpy internally, and still get data passed to it from Numeric and numarray with the array protocol, so you wouldn't be completely abandoning users stuck with the older packages. -Chris -- Christopher Barker, Ph.D. Oceanographer Emergency Response Division NOAA/NOS/OR&R (206) 526-6959 voice 7600 Sand Point Way NE (206) 526-6329 fax Seattle, WA 98115 (206) 526-6317 main reception [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
