Sorry for the delay. Adding:

#include <limits>

to the top of path.cpp in rev5055 helps - most of the errors have disappeared, 
but I still get this:

Looks like VS2003 is picky about using not and or. So I replaced them with ! 
and ||, which helped. Now I get this error:

I guess that would require another #include statement somewhere? I'm obviously 
not a C/C++ guru...
