Very nice. I like the idea of inline plots -- less of an interrupted flow.
Have you looked at the similar project "reinteract"? (www.reinteract.org) It's a little more aggressively different, for what it's worth. The author seems to have lost steam in the last few months, but it has some interesting ideas. It would be neat to integrate ipython, rather than just the standard python shell, into your console to get autocompletion, fancier help etc. I think the combination could be great.
