I have access to a 64-bit AMD box running Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Matlab 7.1.0.183 (R14) Service Pack 3. Unfortunately, due to issues with compiler versions, etc. I can't even seem to build a MEX file that works on that machine. Maybe I can set up something on VMWare to build for Intel Core 2, if I get a chance (no promises). What versions of Linux and Matlab are you using?

With all of the Matlab versions, OS versions, compiler versions, etc, this MEX support is getting to be a real nightmare.

Hello,

Thank you for your response and efforts!

I am running Debian unstable with the amd64 architecture:
kernel:  linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64
Compiler: GCC:  gcc -v
Using built-in specs.
Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
Configured with: ../src/configure -v --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc,obj-c++,treelang --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --with-system-zlib --libexecdir=/usr/lib --without-included-gettext --enable-threads=posix --enable-nls --with-gxx-include-dir=/usr/include/c++/4.2 --program-suffix=-4.2 --enable-clocale=gnu --enable-libstdcxx-debug --enable-objc-gc --enable-mpfr --disable-libmudflap --enable-checking=release --build=x86_64-linux-gnu --host=x86_64-linux-gnu --target=x86_64-linux-gnu
Thread model: posix
gcc version 4.2.3 (Debian 4.2.3-1)

GNU C library: libc6 version: 2.6-7

The Matlab version I have is 7.5.0.338 (R2007b), also for 64 bit.

Probably I could get an older version of matlab as well, and also for the linux version, I can probably install other compilers, kernels,...

Let me know if I can help with anything (Compile, if allowed, or test).

Best regards,

Dirk
