There are several ways of modelling HVDC lines in a power flow analysis. The simplest is by representing it as a pair of positive and negative real power injections in the inverter and rectifier bus respectively. Depending on your application, this may be accurate enough. Alternatively, you can include the characteristics of the HVDC lines in the power flow iteration either sequentially or simultaneously with the AC power flow iterations.
