siri have seen the reply.from the discussion, you mean that it is not possible to integrate solar with transmission system. Then how comes the smart grid in picture? what it means?i dont understand. please reply me. I put this question to all.kindly answer mefromambika

About PV , I haven't seen any energy supplier connecting them to MV unless one day they decide to put millions of PV cells far from the demand and step the voltage up to be connected to MV system. To my knowledge it has not been implemented as this approach is not cost efficient. Instead large offshore wind farms play that role ( please correct me everyone if you have an update on this). So in a nutshell firstly , ieee 14, 30, 118,... are MV and secondly PV panels are connected to LV ( less than 1000 V) network.I hope that helpsIman On 6 Jun 2015, at 08:54, ambi ka <rambi_2...@yahoo.co.in> wrote: sirI have one doubt in the integration of PV with the conventional system. can I integrate PV system (of 5 generators) with the transmission system? or with the distribution system.?In matpower we are referring IEEE 30 bus system. Whether it is a transmission system or distribution system?kindly reply mefromambika .
