During the week, Cluster Resources will hold several six-hour general training sessions as well as shorter topic-centric sessions tailored to participants interests. The sessions will include instructor-led training and a Q&A. To submit topics of interest or to request an invitation to the conference, e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] Each class is limited to 20 people and each organization may allow as many people as desired to attend. First preference will be given to paying customers and partners, but we expect to have available space for evaluating organizations as well. The last training session Cluster Resources hosted in August 2005 was completely filled, so please confirm interest early. More information on the training will be available in January on Cluster Resources' Web site and in the newsletter. ******************************************************** NEW TORQUE* DEVELOPERS MAILING LIST Supercluster.org this month introduced a new TORQUE developers mailing list - [EMAIL PROTECTED] The mailing list is to be used for discussion of TORQUE-based development issues, including architectural discussions, road maps, ongoing and future development projects and other development related issues. To join, view archives or to learn more about the new TORQUE developers user list, visit http://www.clusterresources.com/pages/resources/mailing-lists.php. ******************************************************** HAPPY HOLIDAYS Cluster Resources wants to wish all a merry Christmas and a safe and happy holiday season. ******************************************************** DID YOU KNOW: CONTROLLING RESOURCE INFORMATION SECURITY Organizations sharing compute resources among departments or with other organizations often need to control the resource information that is available to sharing parties for political or other reasons. Organizations can use Moab's peer-to-peer grid capabilities that provides three modes of resource information control so organizations can govern what information users can find about the resources on the cluster or grid. 1.Direct - This is the default information mode. Nodes are reported to remote clusters exactly as they appear in the local cluster. 2.Mapped - Nodes are reported as individual nodes, but node names are mapped to a unique name when imported into the remote cluster. 3.Grid - Node information is aggregated into a single large SMP-like pseudo-node before it is reported to the remote cluster. To learn how to control these settings on your own cluster with Moab, visit http://www.clusterresources.com/products/mwm/docs/17.3p2presources.shtml#p2presourceview. ______________________________________________________ Contact Us: For additional information about any of the above mentioned technologies or for product feedback, technical support, consulting and custom development please contact us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] or call us at +1 (801) 873-3400 Moab Workload Manager®, Moab Cluster Manager® and Monitor®, and Moab Access Portal® are trademarks or registered trademarks of Cluster Resources IncorporatedTM. *TORQUE Resource Manager includes software developed by NASA Ames Research Center, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Veridian Information Solutions, Inc.
