Also useful for OS X and free/GPL: 'LineBreak' http://www.trancesoftware.com/software/linebreak/ "LineBreak is a simple utility for Mac OS X that converts line breaks in text documents. It can convert to Mac, UNIX®, and Windows/DOS formats. It is written entirely in Cocoa and supports drag and drop from the Finder. LineBreak is a Universal Binary (works great on PPC and Intel Macs)."
If you put LineBreak in the Dock, you can drag a file onto it from the Finder. LineBreak will open a small panel, will tell you what type of line ending you have, and will let you pick the ending type you want to change to.
