hey, I'm basically TOTALLY uninformed as to linux in general...I know it's unix-based and that it's more stable...and that's it...I basically want to get to know it...(partially because I've become kind'a bored of windows and the mac os)
So I just downloaded Mandrake Linux onto my mac (running mac os 9.1). Can anyone tell me what I need (aside from the single HUGE file I downloaded) to get linux up and running on my secondary drive? Also, what do I need to do? I can transfer the file to my pc and burn it onto a cd if that's what needs to be done...but again, I have NO IDEA.
