Hi all,

Did anyone of you install a Linux distro on a PowerMac 7600 ? It should be
possible according to the web, but my experience is very different. I tried
Mandake 8.2 and YDL 2.1, of which only YDL was able to initialize my Hard
Disk and make nice 3 extra partitions but it stopped somewhere during
package install. Mandrake crashed during the process of making partitions.

It drives me crazy. I just bought this machine with the purpose of
installing Linux on it. The reason is that I am writing an article on it for
a big magazine here in The Netherlands and Belgium. I wrote in it that it
could be done, so I am in trouble now...

Was anyone of you successful in installing a distribution on such a machine
?
