I am running a local DNS server on my OS X Server. I use Webmin to do the config 'cause I'm a wuss and don't understand the text files that BIND uses. It is all working fine apart from one thing. Under the section of each zone there is an 'apply changes' buttin that executes the following command:
ndc reload <domain>. In 10.2, which I initially tested Webmin on (on my G3) it worked fine. In 10.1 Server however it fires back the following error: NDC command failed : ndc: error: ctl_client: evConnect(fd 3): No such file or directory ndc: error: cannot connect to command channel (/var/run/ndc) Am I missing a service or a file somewhere? -- Mark Benson AIM - SilValleyPirate Visit FlatPackMacs online: <http://fpm.gotdns.com> "Never send a human to do a machine's job." -The Matrix -- MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> Send list messages to: <mailto:max-list@;mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:max-list-off@;mail.maclaunch.com> For digest mode, email: <mailto:max-list-digest@;mail.maclaunch.com> Subscription questions: <mailto:listmom@;lowendmac.com> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> --------------------------------------------------------------- >The Think Different Store http://www.ThinkDifferentStore.com ---------------------------------------------------------------
