Well, a couple of questions first. Have any Unix/Linux experience? Mac experience? If so, you could probably get away with the 'Install" guide that comes with the disks and is on TerraSoft's website. Especially if you have used the RedHat distribution because YellowDog is a spawn of RedHat. If you have BSD/Mac OS X experience at the OS level and no Linux/RedHat experience, I'd get a RedHat book because the two OSs are very similar but Linux does a few things a little bit differently. Kinda like the difference between a Boston and Southern accent. They are both English but occasionally need a little translation to be understood. If not, I'd get the book/CD/install support package TerraSoft offers. It is written with the Mac user in mind. I think the package is like $79.00 with the book, three CDs in a case, a month of support and a t-shirt. Not a bad idea and you will have something to wear on Thursday.. ;) TerraSoft is at: http://www.yellowdoglinux.com Jeff -- Jeffrey E.
