I'm having some problems setting up my new OSX install as a NFS server I'd done this before, and stored occasional backups from my linux server on my iMac/OSX drive via mounting part of the OSX drive read/write via NFS, and it worked well.
However since then, I've replaced the iMac drive, and can't for the life of me find the documentation to set up OSX to export a readwrite NFS share. At the moment I have it exporting fine as read only, with the 'opts' set to "ro" via netinfo. Setting them to "rw" just causes an error when restarting mountd, and leaving all opts as clear simply mounts it as read-only also. Any thoughts? any opts I'm missing? with thanks, dana -- MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
