Tim,
The partitions look good except you don't need the swap.  I would get 
rid of the swap.  If you decide to install Linux I would get another 
hard disk and put it there.  All these partitions should be HFS+.  I 
believe you should be ok now.  I  hope this works for you.  Don't use 
the autoselect.
