Nowadays is the pap script part of CUPS (I introduced it). when you use an old version of cups one can download the script here:
http://vt.oeh.uni-linz.ac.at/~rupi/pap/

What version of CUPS began including this script? 1.2.0?
Fedora Core 1 comes with CUPS 1.1.19, I tried your script, and it works.
I had tried a perl script posted on the cups.org site, which I could not mangle to work.
Thanks.

I looked for a PAP backend in the Darwin CUPS tarball, but there is none.
No love from Apple there.

I would like to add logging, is there a environment variable I can use for that?
