This is true; A/UX is pretty darn cool. I run it on a IIci with a Daystar
'030 and a little tweaking.

My LC III, which I converted to a LC 475 with a Q605 motherboard, runs
NetBSD 1.6.2 just fine and acts as my streaming media proxy. If you don't
want to spring for an FPU, there's an -msoft-float version that's alpha
but works great for many people. It works fine on the original LC3 board,
too.
