In my recent attempts to install a dual boot linux/os9.1 system on my S900 I
have run into a few bumps but currently I am fairly stuck. In order to
install Debian I need to boot into the BIOS (OpenFirmware). I've been told
that the keyboard shortcut on most macs is command+option+O+F on startup.
When I do this I hear the chime but my screen stays completely black and my
monitor does not recieve a signal (the light on the corner - not on the
screen - continues to flash rather than show a constant light). I am using
a PC monitor through my TwinTurbo card so my guess is that I have booted
into OpenFirmware but it does not want to send a monitor output stream to a
PC monitor or to my graphics card entirely. Any ideas on how this might be
fixed?
