Hi, my main Mac is a hybrid PCI machine (7600 mobo) with a G3/300 upgrade, and a fast SCSI card running a fast SCSI hard drive, two monitors, FireWire and USB.
Is this a good candidate for setting up Linux on? I have another fast SCSI hard drive (a Cheetah) I could put in the mix. Is it required to put the Linux OS on a separate drive, or at least partition? I have the third edition of "Running Linux" as a help, but it doesn't seem to offer much help for PPCs.... I have install discs of SuSE 8 handy. Are they usable? Does anyone have a good FAQ or instruction page on the Web for this kind of setup? Well, I think I've introduced myself as the newest of newbies (I've barely used Linux on a PC, but gave it up because I disliked my PC). Any advice? t wirkman v -- Signwave Finder Mail 0.5a - http://www.signwave.co.uk/ -- MaX-list is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... / Buy books, CDs, videos, and more from Amazon.com \ / <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/lowendmac> \ Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> MaX-list info: <http://lowendmac.com/linux/max.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/max-list%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
