What memory chips issue?
If a DIMM doesn't work on a rev A, it isn't going to work on a rev B, either.

I have seen that eg linux works with 1 64Mb pc100 2-2-2 chip, but adding
another 3-2-2 makes it freeze...
(I add memory when the machine is down :-)
Also A 128Mb pc133 3-3-3 doesn't work...
