This sounds like a great idea:

And I use HTML so much, in conjunction with writing for the Web,
that this standard seems natural to me!

That's for sure. My favorite browser, iCab, does a terrible job with
some elements of CSS and HTML 4.

I wish browsers would fully  implement HTML 4. And yet there are
problems galore with this. Microsoft's Explorer, for example, does
a pretty good job in the Mac OS, but for Windows, the Q tag is unimplemented,
forcing most Web developers to leave this completely logical tag
out of use.

Does OpenOffice implement the Q tag? If it does, I'll give it a shout
of praise. And probably start using it soon.
