Hi,

That probably isn't the best subject line, but I'm not sure I can
think of a better one ... Here's what's up ... I have a LC 475 running
NetBSD for use as a home automation (X10) controller. In order to cut
down on noise, power, etc. I would like to spin down the HD after
everything it needs to run has been loaded into memory. Does anyone
know of a program or daemon that can do this?

scsictl /dev/sd0 stop

would stop the drive, but I'm not sure how to get it to spin back up automatically. Try the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list.
