Thanks for the response Tim, but that's a G3 in a different model Mac. ISTR there are different issues with the G4s specifically. Can anyone out there confirm the combo described below will work?

I'm thinking it most likely will work.  I had a G3 card in a Power =
Computing clone that worked fine in YDL.
