hi again,i just rechecked. removed odbc 7.4. installed sapdb odbc 7.5 (it installed even in c:\programme\sapdb, instead of c:\programme\maxdb like the win gui tools does already)
after installing and reinstalling maxdb odbc 7.05.00.00 on a windows nt 4 terminalserver with citrix i am unable to connect with odbc to a sapdb 7.4.
but the behavior didn't change neither with normal, nor with unicode. errorcode is in both the same.
in openoffice it is more informational as in "seagate chrystal reports".
i even created new odbc sources.
btw: when filling the odbc windows name: description: server: database:
and working only with keyboard tab, the round goes:
name, description, database, server instead of name, description, server, database like on display
i tried on the same tse the jdbc driver 7_5_0_5 with java 1.4.2_02 and openoffice. it worked fine with the jdbc Driverclass "com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB".
btw: first i wrote com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDb
^^^^^ check the small "b" instead of a big one.
so i got: errorcode 1000, driver is unable to load.
