The MaxDB sources are now available though CVS: http://www.mysql.com/products/maxdb/develop/cvs.html.
Project maxdb-75 corresponds to release 7.5.01 (http://www.mysql.com/downloads/maxdb-7.5.01.html), which contains support for the MaxDB Proxy. Project maxdb-76 will be released as 7.6, a schedule for this released hasn't been set yet. All the projects are updated daily.
