I'm having some trouble to connect from WinXP to Linux box using MS DTS (Data
Transformation Services) over ODBC.
>From WinXP client to WinXP server, I get some errors connecting (need to retry

Strage is connecting from Access on WinXP client to Linux server works fine, where
connection from Access on WinXP client to WinXP server show same problem (three retry
before get connected).

I don't know why, neither have traces that show any problem. Appear being a
connectivity problem (I think it's related to some "security stuff" on WinXP).

Are you using WinXP? What plataforms are you using?

Best regards,

Edson Richter

Subject: Cannot to MaxDB with ODBC

  Hi,

i had the latest SAPDB 7.4 ODBC Driver installed and tried to connect to
a MaxDB 7.5.0.8, but it always said:

[SAP AG][SQLOD32 DLL][SAP DB]Unabale to connect to data source; -709
  CONNECT: (connection refused).(#-709)

So i upgraded to lates MaxDB 7.5.0 ODBC Driver.
  So nothing changed.

The Error-Message isn't even true (the driver does connect to Port 7210
and talk with MaxDB). I used Ettercap to sniff the traffic, and what can
  i say:

MaxDB's response is "Rejected bad connect packet".
