has anyone got maxDB and Torque ( db.apache.org/torque ) to work? If so, we'd be delighted to see a working "build.properties" file, as we (a group of students working in a project) only get lots of different error messages. Especially the property "torque.database.createUrl" is a mystery to us. It should be an administrative JDBC URL that Torque can use to create and drop databases. But regardless of what we set in there, he complains "can't connect to database: restart required". After a fresh maxDB install, there aren't any databases to connect to, and after two days of trying and searching the web, we can't find an administrative URL to put in there. A simple "jdbc:sapdb://127.0.0.1/" also doesn't work.
We could set up the database manually, however, we also run into problems later on, so we would like to start the whole Torque thing as clean as possible by specifying the correct value right from the start. We're using a Windows 2000 (sigh), if that's of any meaning.
If we ever get this working, I'll write a tutorial for the Torque website, I promise...
