our 7.3 SAPDB-Instance crashed today with the Error

Beeing in a meeting i just restarted the instance.
After a while, it crashed again and became real bumby with thousands of

The instance is in admin-mode now and has a DBMGui-Verify running on it.
I wonder what this all means and what lead to it?
Nothing unusual was done to the DB, except a optimizier statistics with 10%
samplerate. but this was done many times before ... ?
What to do know? I'm almost sure that data was lost, so i gotta restore
yesternights backup.
I just wonder : Why? And What? The heck...
Can anyone give me a clue?
