I want to use the MaxDB from Zope. To make Zope and MaxDB speak with each other, they need a so called "Database Adapter". It seems that there are 2 solutions:
1) Use the SAPDB-Database Adapter (ZsapdbDA) which is quite old and seems to be abandoned or
I'm perfectly willing to help with any problems with regard to ZsapdbDA. I never understood Zope so I couldn't write any tests of my own in the past. But if you have some code with unexpected results, I think I can debug it.
2) Use the native MySQL Database Adapter, as I heard that MaxDB is now fully compatible with the MySQL call interface.
Which of these 2 variants is the better one?
What's the current status of the MySQL call interface of MaxDB?
Both the MySQL proxy and the required MaxDB 7.5.01 are in alpha status.
