Hello, I've got a problem while migrating our production database from 7.3.0.48 to 7.4.3.32. The main problem is not the migration as descibed at http://www.sapdb.org/7.4/htmhelp/88/c290d224d9e140a9c7048ffff0c233/frameset. htm. It will succeed and the database is working (after recreate a few bad indexes). A verify will succeeded every time. Maybe it's no problem of the migration, but when I make a backup of the migrated database and try to recover the database to a fresh installed 7.4.3.32 environment, I've got the following error and the database won't be able to become online:
(knldiag.err) .. .. 2004-08-23 15:11:52 1133 ERR 0 Kernel Page check failed; algorithm: 7, calculated: 22373, header: 2, trailer: 2 2004-08-23 15:11:52 1133 ERR 12 IOMan Bad page on Data volume 2 blockno 5 2004-08-23 15:11:54 1133 ERR 0 Kernel Page check failed; algorithm: 7, calculated: 22373, header: 2, trailer: 2 2004-08-23 15:11:54 1133 ERR 12 IOMan Bad page on Data volume 2 blockno 5 2004-08-23 15:11:56 1133 ERR 0 Kernel Page check failed; algorithm: 7, calculated: 22373, header: 2, trailer: 2 2004-08-23 15:11:56 1133 ERR 12 IOMan Bad page on Data volume 2 blockno 5 2004-08-23 15:11:58 1133 ERR 21 IOMan Wrong converter page on Data volume 2 blockno 5 2004-08-23 15:11:58 1133 ERR 11196 DBCRASH vabort:Emergency Shutdown, IOMan_Manager.cpp: 439 .. .. I tried this on several boxes with several kernels, several times, but the error will be the same each time. Thus I don't think that this is a hardware problem. I've got the same error if I try to recover the migration backup that was made at step 6 in the documentation directly into a 7.4.3.32 environment. So I'm absolutly helpless... Please contact me, if you need further information about the problem or the dumped bad page.
