Hi Srini, if no one else has replied yet... The procedure is easy, as long as the source and target SAPDB versions and the OS are the same. If you have the source data backup available: go to DBMgui --> install and create a new instance with the same parameters as the old database (you can also change the parameters in this stage, if you want). --> At one stage, DBMgui will ask if you want to install (or 'create') and start instance, or install instance for recovery. Choose the second option, i.e. install with option 'recovery'. In some DBMgui versions, this option is called 'install with option 'restore''. --> When the installation is complete, you'll be prompted for a backup to restore. Choose the last data backup of the source database. This will restore that backup and start the target db.
