I have a RAID-5 system.
How many data volumes is recommended to configure and what size (as percent) for each one?
How many log volumes is recommended to configure and what size (as percent) for each one?
I read the next text:
"For performance reasons, the log volumes must not be created on RAID-5 systems but only on dedicated disks or RAID-1 systems."
Then, What can I do whit log volumes if I have a RAID-5 system?
Another question: what is a raw device?
