Dear group,
I receive the error message when I try to apply a certain sql select
command which is a bit long
ERROR General error;-2010 POS(1) Assignment impossible, char value too long
When I shorten the sql select command the error vanishes.
The max. amount von chars in a sql command seems be about 500. What is
the exact number?
Is there any possiblity to apply longer commands, except for shortening
field names?
I couldn't find a parameter in the DB Manager specifying the command length.
Is there any possibility to increase it?
Which col in which system table stores the sql command - and may it be a
solution to increase the field length of this col?
I use MaxDB 7.5.
