AW: Windows Cluster Configuration
Classification
Hello Frank,
we had set up an SapDB instance on an windows 2000 advanced server cluster.
You have to install the independent Software on a local disk an the
dependent software on a shared disk, which is available for all cluster
nodes. After that you have to define a cluster resource with the sapdb
components (x_server, database, drives, shares etc.)
In our case, we do not get a load balancing over all cluster nodes. We are
just using the cluster for high availability reasons. An automatic failover
is done in 1-2 minutes (database size = 160GB).
If you are able to use the sapnet (service.sap.com) then you can get more
information about installing an mscs cluster.
