Hello Frank, with MaxDB you can create a new database and after doing so you could go into mode OFFLINE, take over the old volumes by the new database simply by replacing all the newly created volumes by all the old ones. You can either do the replacing by copying/moving the old volumes in the file system or by changing the volume settings of the database through DBMGUI or DBMCLI.
