Hello Don,

what does dbm.prt and knldiag look like directly after an attempt to
bring an instance into mode ADMIN?

Best regards,

Subject: DBM-Api error ( -4'Reading header from pipe:(0:NO ERROR(0))'

On a 7.6.00.12 64-bit Suse 9 box I was able to create 5 data sources
just fine. I also did a restore on each one just fine. But when I
created the 6th data source, 2 of the other sources that were working
and the last one created went bad, giving the error DBM-Api error (
-4'Reading header from pipe:(0:NO ERROR(0))', and now cannot get these 3
into either admin or online mode. All these operations were done with
the GUIDBM, which reports -4 wrong connection state when I try to set to
admin. Any ideas? The backups were from 7.5.0.5 and I did do a load
system tables on each one as restored.
