search the list for subject "7.3 to 7.5 [NON-PARALLEL] Migration Explained
(HOWTO)" and ignore the 7.3 steps and instead start off with a complete
backup and then on the new system to a recovery with initialization.

Subject: How to migrate from 7.5( 32 bit) to 7.6( 64 bit)

Hello everybody!

I want to migrate my production database 7.5.00.23(32 bit) from a suse
linux server(32bit+1 processor) to Version 7.6.00.12(64 bit) on a new
suse linux server(64 bit amd opteron+ 2 processors)

1. Which maxdb version do i need for this environment?(i found serveral
64 bit linux maxdbversions)

2. Can someone tell me a detailed way for the migration (i think recover
from backup will not work between 32 and 64 bit or ???)

Any help welcomed

Best regards
