Hello,
To follow up on myself, another Problem which causes -24875 is the fact
that on SuSE 10 you see passwords in blowfish encoding. The default
pwdverify seems only be able to compare md5 encrypted passwords. It
looks like this in the log:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------
Date Time TID(hex) Typ MsgID Label Message
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------
2005-11-24 15:00:42 0x0000214b 0 DBM command inst_reg
-k /opt/sdb/7500
2005-11-24 15:04:04 0x0000217e 0 DBM command
user_system
2005-11-24 15:04:04 0x0000217e ERR -24875 DBM ERR_NEEDADMI: The
operating system user is not a member of the database administrators
group.
0x0000217e ERR -24875 DBM 155,UNIX password
mismatch
I think one can reconfigure the hasing method in yast or in the pam
config files on suse.
Gruss
Bernd
