Hello Ralf,
The log file increased? Anyway, the parameter MAXBACKUPDEVS set to 2 should
enable you to do non-parallel backups and parallel backups with a maximum of 2
parallel data streams. Increasing this parameter could workaround the original
problem, as it could reduces the times needed for a database restart. Still the
best would be to find out the root cause of the problem and create/apply a
patch for it.
Does the problem persists, if the latest available MaxDB patch is installed?
Best regards,
Tilo Heinrich

Subject: RE: Incremental Backup: -104 DBM - DBM command impossible at this time
Hello Tilo,
I restarted the database and now everything works
fine.
I'm sure, that the database was running, because
SQL-statements were possible and the logfile
increases.
Is it possible, that the parameter MAXBACKUPDEVS is
with the acutell value "2" to small?
Best regards,
Ralf
