Hello David,

Currently you have to specify as many external backup ID's as you have
pipes within the used backup medium. As you must use non-parallel backup
media for log restores too, only one EBID is allowed during a restore of
one log backup (that means during one recover_start or one
recover_replace call).

I recommend using DBMGUI for the restore, as it passes along the EBID's
to the DBM Server as needed.

Best regards,

Subject: Restore log backups using external backup tool

Is it possible to specify more than one external backup ID to the dbmcli
command recover_start? The help indicates that you can only pass one
EBID. When restoring a full data backup from a parallel medium,
specifying "EBID1,EBID2" seems to work. But not when restoring log
backups - dbmcli reports "the list of external backup ID's contains more
than one ids".
