Hi,
on i386, older versions of MaxDB 7.5.00 don't work any more in Debian
unstable due to the switch to glibc 2.5/2.6 which does not support the
old linuxthreads threading implementation any longer.
Since MaxDB 7.5.00 can be configured at the source level to use the
newer NPTL implementation I have prepared new packages for Debian that
work also with current glibc versions. Those packages have just made it
into unstable, so you can give them a try.
