I've added a new attribute to the Maypole request in SVN..

You can set it to false if you don't want Maypole to call to_cgi on
your class in order to populate the cgi element of the classmetadata
hash available in templates.

i.e.  $r->build_form_elements(0);

Particularly useful when you aren't using the factory templates, or
writing custom actions.
