I think you are not doing the requisite voodoo to distinguish Maypoles
search action from its parent's CDBI search method.  See
Maypole::Model::CDBI::search and delete to see how it has done. 
Naming those search and delete after parent actions was a poor design
as far as i can tell and use different names so that a search will
only do a cdbi search.
