Well, it works here in general.
But maybe your picture is a CMYK jpeg file?

Also on any error, OpenAsJPEGMBS returns nil. Independent of whether some thing 
was not readable, memory is low or something in jpeglib reported error.

It may help if you email me such a file. Or you use JPEGImporterMBS which has 
error properties and events.

Well, I can change those QuickTime plugin functions to work on Console targets, 
too.
But I can't guarantee they work, because if no GUI is there, i'm not sure 
whether they work.
