Greetings,

I'm searching for a way to take an icon of a file and apply it to another.
Since the only method to apply an icon to a file seems to be the
AddCustomIconMBS method, which takes an IconFamilyMBS parameter, I'm
considering the methods whose return type is IconFamilyMBS. According to the
documentation (I'm at this page:
http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.net/class-folderitem.shtml), there are only 2
methods eligible for this: OpenAsIconFamilyMBS and OpenAsIconsFamilyMBS.
Further documentation on those methods is the same (Function: Opens an icon
file).
Then, I have two questions:
1: what's the difference between these 2 functions, except the additional “s”?
2: is it the right way to “open an icon file”? Isn't that meaning “scan for
icl8, icl4 and ICN# resources (and all the resources family)” (or a “.icns”
file)?

TIA
