Andy,

Check out the FrameGrabber example that I donated for inclusion with the 
example source code a little over a year ago. It uses the QTGrabber plugins to 
do exactly what you want and works just fine with the latest Xojo versions. 

I would like to (and will soon be forced to) port my application over to 
AVFoundation. I’m not sure if you have the time, but having a similar 
“framework” example would be a huge help to anyone working on this type of 
thing. BTW, if you’re ever wanting to bounce ideas off of someone working on 
similar problems, I’d be happy to be that person. My company sells an 
application for control and processing of live astronomical video camera 
images.
