Andy, Check out the FrameGrabber example that I donated for inclusion with the example source code a little over a year ago. It uses the QTGrabber plugins to do exactly what you want and works just fine with the latest Xojo versions.
I would like to (and will soon be forced to) port my application over to AVFoundation. I’m not sure if you have the time, but having a similar “framework” example would be a huge help to anyone working on this type of thing. BTW, if you’re ever wanting to bounce ideas off of someone working on similar problems, I’d be happy to be that person. My company sells an application for control and processing of live astronomical video camera images. Cheers. -bill k > On Nov 20, 2014, at 10:33 AM, Andrew Voller <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi there, > > As QuickTime is now removed from the recent versions of Xojo.
