Thanks Christian, I think I will be able to get it to work with your example. My problem is that I do not only make use of a recent items menu, but that I add some custom menues there. The user can select the kind of search he wants to do from the searchfield (Like “Begins with”, “Contains”, etc) See screenshot: http://osswald.com/xojo/mbs/cocoacontrol.png To build this same functionality again is not straight forward and gives me some headaches.
