sorry, I don’t mean to be difficult but I guess I’m not being clear.

What I’m hoping for is the “normal” behavior of a check at launch time, then a 
dialog box if an update is available, and then *only if the user wants* the 
updating of the app.

It seems like this is normal behavior for most applications and yet the updater 
kit doesn’t seem to do it *and* it’s not easy to figure out how to do it..
