1) Not in MbUnit v2. But MbUnit v3 is being built on a common platform called Gallio, that, incidentally, has an NUnit plugin so you can run MbUnit and NUnit tests side by side if you want.
However, MbUnit v2 is largely a superset of NUnit. You can "convert" most NUnit test projects to MbUnit v2 by changing assembly references and tweaking namespaces. 2) There are lots of such articles. They mainly discuss cool testing features that many people have found quite useful such as [RowTest] and [Rollback]. Personally, I made a choice a couple of years ago to use MbUnit it has great extensibility model, many useful advanced features, and a strong developer community. MbUnit is evolving rapidly and it generally takes an more inclusive stance with respect to differing testing practices. NUnit is somewhat more conservative by comparison. Both cases have advantages and disadvantages. But the situation continues to change. The MbUnit v3 and NUnit v3 teams both have excellent visions for the future. xUnit.Net is also looking interesting but it still has a long way to go. So do I recommend MbUnit? Sure! But feel free to ask around for other opinions and give all of the options a shot. Cheers, Jeff. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Roastie Sent: Monday, December 03, 2007 6:26 AM To: MbUnit.User Subject: MbUnit Re: Documentation 1) A key question: Can I run my NUnit tests with the MbUnit test runner? Does the test code need to reference the MbUnit assembly? 2) Is there an article that addresses the issue of why I should pick MbUnit over NUnit? Thanks.
