no i didn't said that i only replied to your last comment. well it's not of a big deal at all since i can change it here manually. more important was to get basic glib 2.0 support into mc :) > > but recently i got trapped myself by this e.g. i read in the mc > > changelog that you need at least automake 1.5. i installed automake 1.5 > > specially for mc and mc refused to generate the makefiles because it > > depends on 1.6 already. so it may be interesting and for sure a good > > idea to rename it to automake-1.6 at least from a vanilla point of view. > > I just tried automake 1.5 with CVS MC and it did work. Don't assume that nobody cares. strange ? because automake 1.5 cries out at exactly these 2 things. by only using automake 1.6 it ignores the problem. can someone else please confirm this ? AC_INIT([GNU Midnight Commander], [], [[EMAIL PROTECTED]]) AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(mc, 4.6.0-pre1a) > Version in AUTOMAKE_OPTIONS means minimal version. doesn't change the fact that automake is called and copies it's missing files into auxdir before it checks for the automake options :) and once this is done the pure evil begins specially if you use an older automake version. -- Name....: Ali Akcaagac Status..: Student Of Computer & Economic Science E-Mail..: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] WWW.....: http://www.fh-wilhelmshaven.de/~akcaagaa _______________________________________________ Mc-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/mc-devel
