It would be usefull if you could provide a backtrace from the crash. To do this grab MC from CVS and build it with debugging information . You can instruct the compiler to generate debug info at configure time by doing this: $ CFLAGS="-g -O0" ./configure ... Next, run MC under gdb and when it crashes type `bt'.
